ORGANISATION
- I feel this was a strong section of the project, I was able to access files easily and didn't lose any documents throughout the process (which I have done before in my personal practice).
COMMUNICATION
Communication for the project is happening between lots of people:
- Sarah (CA Spaces)
- Kat (Illustrator)
- Sophie (Illustrator)
- The public
- Myself
Communication with Sarah has been happening mostly over Instagram, this was the most successful way of getting in contact with Sarah directly.
When I needed to send over files and final outcomes this communication was done over email so the files had the best quality.
At the start of the project Sarah was slightly vague about what it entailed, as I didn't request more specifics or a more clear timeframe this made it difficult to figure out a plan and as a result, the project has become more ongoing than I has first anticipated. However, the initial work was about designing a cohesive brand that can be applied to all ephemera related to the project so even though it's ongoing the time it takes is very minimal.
- I've learnt from this that it is clear to ask a client for the specifics of what they're asking for at the start of the project. I thought I had done this, however, I wasn't as detailed as I should be.
- When working for a client in the future I will ask for (or send over) a list of outcomes I shall develop. This way all involved know where they stand in terms of product and I can organise an effective time frame.
Communication between myself and illustrators Kat and Sophie was more successful in terms of keeping file names and numbers the same so I knew what was what. However, I did spend time editing the files to ensure they didn't have any white backgrounds. This is something I should've specific to the Illustrators.
- In future, I'll send over information on how the files should be received. What size, file type, and background specifications.
