Praises from my presentation showed that the design decision I was working with were successful in communicating myself as a designer.
Want to keep the typefaces used, as well as the small hand drawn elements to add a lightness to the branding. Subtle but effective is what I'm going for.
The tone of voice is what's key, I felt how I spoke about myself during task 4 was successful, not overly professional but not too casual either. It's important for my branding to have a personal touch to it, I think having personality makes you more approachable and this is something I want to communicate.
I tend to take things about design to heart, as I'm sure many other creatives do, so having a branding that doesn't include my name might help me distance myself from criticism and see it more objectively. The benefits of going by a studio name also helps reduce any prejudgement on who you are as a person and focuses on you as a brand, I think this is something I'd benefit from and so need to come up with a studio name.
Ideas:
- Hafun- I often say "have fun" when someone leaves to run an errand, or has somewhere to be. My boyfriend thought making this a word "hafun" could be a good studio name.
- Eaves- "Eves" is what people tend to start callin me once they get to know me, it just happens naturally and I'm not sure why. Thought about how this could become a studio name and Eaves is pronounced the same but you wouldn't think it has anything to do with my name.- Feel like it might be a little to personal for me to use as a studio name.

- Would be a great opportunity to get involved with, need to think about developing a concept for the zine, what to comment on?
- I really like the photography of the publications on this website, they're really unique and have more interest than your standard flat lay shot.
- Could be great to look at for learning new book binding techniques or to practice my own skills.
