Photographer Joey from Hove & Co photography reached out to me requesting a video call:
He was working for 'The Country Victullar' photographing their products for a catalogue, they have been working with a designer but had been experiencing some difficulties and were wanting to source a different professional to work on their upcoming brochures and Joey recommended me.
The call with Joey outlined what they were wanting as a company, how the photography shoots work and how I can be involved with them as well as cost etc. It was great to chat with Joey and see how I could get involved with the photography also to ensure the photos can work within the catalogue.
As Joey was having a call to discuss the current catalogue he invited me to join so I could introduce myself in person (or as in person as we could get given Covid).
Jeannine and Katrina were passionate about their business and products, hearing them discuss the project and what it entails was great as I could get a sense of brand and tone of voice as well as some particulars that were important to them to have within the catalogue.
Joey had expressed they were impressed with me during the meeting and appreciated me taking time unpaid to join their meeting and contribute ideas. In April Janine reached out about getting the ball rolling on the project, which is really exciting!
- I'm really looking forward to working on this project, I'll be able to apply the skills I learnt from working with Wooga, CA Spaces and Meanwood Street Art to this process to ensure it goes smoothly.
- I'm excited to be alongside Joey with photography, he mentioned being able to apply layouts to the camera so he can take photos knowing where they will be on the page so ensure everything fits compositionally.
- This is something I've never done before and am keen to learn more about the process of working with photographers so I can better my skills practically as well as my communication skills.
