Privacy, thinking about this as a general concept to then expand upon for the project.
Privacy is the ability of an individual or group to seclude themselves or information about themselves, and thereby express themselves selectively.
The domain of privacy partially overlaps with security, which can include the concepts of appropriate use, as well as protection of information.
Sissela Bok said that privacy is "the condition of being protected from unwanted access by others—either physical access, personal information, or attention."
In addition to the psychological barrier of reserve, Kirsty Hughes identified three more kinds of privacy barriers: physical, behavioral, and normative. Physical barriers, such as walls and doors, prevent others from accessing and experiencing the individual. (In this sense, "accessing" an individual includes accessing personal information about him or her.)
Jeffrey Reiman defined privacy in terms of a recognition of one's ownership of his or her physical and mental reality and a moral right to his or her self-determination.
Physical privacy may be a matter of cultural sensitivity, personal dignity, and/or shyness.

Different themes within privacy are more interesting to explore further, thinking what do these mean in terms of the project and what direction the work could go in.
Thinking about the themes:
1. Control
2. Intention
How do these two themes work when testing out boundaries?
What would I be okay with? What wouldn't I be okay with?
Scenario 1: Printing out my design account posts as flyers and putting them around Leeds in public places.
- I wouldn't mind at all, could help promote my account.
Scenario 2: Printing out my personal instagram posts and sending them to my friends.
- I wouldn't be too bothered about this but think it'd be a little odd to receive a print out of a social media post, if they were already following me I wouldn't mind.
Scenario 3: Printing out my personal instagram posts as flyers and putting them in public places around leeds.
- This would feel very invasive, personal privacy being mistreated here.
Scenario 4: My housemate looks through my texts on my phone.
- I would be angry and feel like they took advantage but would be able to let it go as it's one individual I know well.
Scenario 5: My diary is scanned and sent to my parents.
- Similar to the previous scenario, I would feel like my privacy has been invaded and my boundaries not respected but as they're my parents I'd be able to move past it.
Scenario 6: A page from my diary is scanned and put on a billboard.
- Massive breach of privacy, I would be very uncomfortable with the fact that happened. But if it's something so outrageous I think I'd be able to pass it off as not knowing who's it was as long as it didn't contain any names or info that would trace it back to me.
Relationship between content and affect emerging a little bit here.
