Woodland Idea:

^Developing work off of the woodland idea above. Wanting to look at how it would translate across all elements of the project.

Playing with the idea of going on a hunt/trail with the woodland theme and wanting to convey this in a whimsical fashion.
Tried incorporating the organic shapes into image C to see the effect it would have, it allows the body text to be included so could have the two ideas and work together, one if body text is needed the other if it isn't.

Playing around with the small motifs designed and seeing how they would fit on the page.
Image D was too much, the focus should be on the content with few distractions.
Images E and F worked well, either would be appropriate for this element of the brief.
Stickers:
Need to work on developing a format that would work for all nominations.
Playing with how much type to include and where from, wanting to avoid having too much type that isn't about the person as they should be the focus.

- Having the 4 lines of text makes it easier to have more included. However the smaller text for testimony might need revisiting.

Spiky Shape Idea:
Shapes:

| Image M |
Got playing around with type and the shapes and developed these images that can be used within the whole branding.
- Thinking back to Isometric Studios design and how information can be presented in small shapes over the rest of the design.
The design incorporates a selection of colours from the brand guidelines, the range used allows for contrast between elements but also has a very playful feel.

- Feel this would only work if other shapes like this were incorporated into the branding.
- Would rather avoid these shapes as I don't think they add much visually when they're not the main graphic focus.

- Shapes like these with no text could be better used for the actual stickers since they'll be less distracting.

- Large number of different ideas with this style, the use of stickers for the visuals has a strong visual reverence I think.
- When other elements are added (such as the curly shapes) it brings down the age tone to a younger audience, wanting to avoid this and keep it non age specific.
- Feel this idea could be used in a variety of ways and still look like a cohesive unit due to the consistent shapes, colour palette and typefaces applied.

Image W is most successful, as image X presentes the same empty space as tested previously.
In this element having the deadline in the sticker really draws attention to it as well as adding a more playful touch to the application.
- These would need to be made in a range of downloadable formats (jpeg, pdf and word file). Look into how to do this.
All stickers are nice here feels as though Image Y is most favourable at the moment from a practical perspective. It also fits in well with the previous elements.
Image 1 perhaps has too many colours, keeping the colour palette to one could may be the best way of preventing the colours from clashing with the illustrations when these are added.

REFLECTION:
- Finding the spiky shapes to be more successful than the woodland. It is less aged and feels like it communicates the project better to the audience than the woodland does.
- Need to think about the COVID-19 stickers that will accompany the stickers on the trail, how will these looks?
- Try and bring all elements into this together, see how they look.
COVID STICKERS:
> Need to be clear and concise.
> Having illustrations would be beneficial for the younger audience, also help support the text.
> Try and make visually cohesive with the spiky sticker idea (as this will be the one presented to Sarah).
Developing images, using the colours from CA spaces, by using their bright vibrant colours they can apply to all people regardless or race, age or gender.
Playing with type, but those in the bottom post are most effective as they're clear and simple.
- Currently unsure on the size of the stickers so avoid small text would be good.

Finalising the designs:
Reflecting:
- The spiky shape idea is the most successful so far, it has an aeshtetic that can appeal to an older audience as well as a younger one which is integral to the success of the project.
- There is a visual consistency developing with this idea which is really exciting, seeing it translated to Covid stickers shows how versatile the branding is and can be translated to various outcomes.
- Need to try and add more nomination images to see how they work with current designs, and should consider indtagram promotional material development (get copy for these off sarah).
