603 Study Task 6 - The Great British Porridge Co. (1 Hour Brief)

BRIEF: Promote their single pots to a new student audience bringing together 2 of the USPs, using a banner that appears on their website. 

Make instant breakfast:
- dairy free
- healthy

USPs:
- Just add hot water (reading in 1 min)
- 100% natural
- high in fibre
- no added sugar (sweetened with dates)
- dairy and gluten free (coconut milk)
- eat hot or cold (overnight oats)

Biodegradable packaging 
Very friendly informal tone of voice (descriptive words like 'lovely', 'tiny minute', 'tummies')

Selling points:

> Convenience:
Just add hot water, rushing to lecture also no added sugar to avoid the inevitable sugar slump.

> Health:
dairy free - rich in electrolytes and can prevent fatigue
high in fibre - Helps control blood sugar levels

Imagery:
- Use circles, website saying everything in nature works in circles.
- Stick with their simplistic design, using their own imagery.

Started using the photographs but felt this was more suited to an older audience not students.

  • With no added sugar to avoid that dreaded sugar crash.
Wanting to communicate a friendly tone of voice, making it appeal to a younger audience.

> Uses up the white space without being too cluttered
> Relates to time
> Takes the audience into account, thinking of use of social media for free advertising
