WEEKLY BRIEFING
MON - COP seminar at 10am - large talk at the start then break into groups (more than 3) for the remainder. Discussion about articles, provided with a short writing task, then simon share video talking through articles (whole day session).
TUES & WEDS - Work on COP prep for tutorial, have refined question, research sources, to be able to discuss, talk about ethics if appropriate. Then start writing essay from here.
THUR - 603 tutorials

COP PRESENTATION GENERAL FEEDBACK
- Understanding how wider contexts influence how you engage with graphic design. Needs to have an emphasis on graphic design.
- Only do primary research if it's necessary, if answers are already out there then rely on secondary research.
- Ethics, need approval from a tutor before doing primary research.
- Revisit proposal to get a clear justification for the project.
- Need to gather resources, start reading text, familiarise yourself with theories and concepts, and consider any primary research needed and relevant contextual examples.
- Reading and becoming familiar with text before essay writing commences allows you to write best essay, able to get deeper into issues as you have a solid initial understanding.
- Use open questions, why? how? what? to avoid simple yes or no answers.
