Final Outcomes:

Day 1: #MondayMorning

Day 2: #INDvsENG

Day 3: #PMQs

Day 4: #WomenInScience

Day 5: @PritiPatel

Reflection on the week:

What worked well?
- I feel throughout the week I got into a rhythm of generating ideas for the books, I began to have a process that I could follow each day.
- I felt I was able to have more freedom with the designs, as it was only a day project I was less worried about the outcome and was able to focus on idea generation and creative thinking.

What did I enjoyed?
- I enjoyed finding out what the new topics were for each day, it was exciting not knowing what I was going to be working on (if a little frustrating at times).
- I found making things again to be great, recently during the pandemic I've been working more and more digitally and I don't tend to find this inspiring. This project forced me to test new things, like illustration and photography, to generate outcomes.

What did I struggle with?
- I found friday the hardest day, I think this is because the content wasn't very interesting or easy to pull ideas from. I managed to make an outcome regardless but it is one of my least favourites.
- I struggled sometimes when I couldn't think past an idea, by talking to my peers for mini crits this was helpful as it enabled me to see the project from a fresh perspective.

What didn't work well?
- I could've been a little clearer at the start of the project as to what systems were in place to make the week run more smoothly. On monday I was a little unsure, but after a tutorial with Simon and revisiting old blogs I was able to develop a system that worked well for the rest of the days.
- Some of the outcomes aren't very polished, however as they were made in a day I think they're a strong collective outcome.

What have I learnt?
- To have more confidence in myself, but also that it's okay if not every idea succeeds. I think this is probably one of the more important lessons for me as I have been very concerned with the appearance of the outcomes I make that I don't have as much fun with the process.
- By playing and experimenting you find ideas and then can work on these further, refining them to become a more polished outcome.

What next?
- Take what I've learnt from this project forward, think about how my approach to creating work can be more experimental and then refined later in the process, not everything needs to look good to be classed as a success.
