Feedback form Simon:
- I don’t think the subheadings are working for you (I'm not sure if you planned to get rid of them in the final thing) and I think they are preventing you from writing with more of a flow.
- Can you try putting all the How adults learn from books subsections together to start with? Try writing each paragraph so one flows logically to the next.
- Spend some more time analysing the example (the psych textbook spread) and discuss it in terms of the concepts already mentioned – mental maps, etc. Then you need to land on your conclusion that it would benefit from design/type principles.
- As you discuss the design principles you should be relating them back to the book spread to explain why they have benefit - So, really you are just continuing with your analysis whilst drawing on relevant literature.
- Try reorganising these parts and allowing each paragraph to lead logically to the next. Then hopefully the rest will follow nicely.
Need to:
- Read over essay and restructure points
- Refer to example when describing design principles
- Add in information about the impact of colour
- Add in info on cognition, cognitive load and fatigue.
